Large Flowered Purple Crocus Bulbs

Large Purple Crocus Bulbs produce larger than usual purple flower heads that will be on display from mid February to March. This classic crocus is a hardy specie that will multiply well year on year if left alone. Often planted in areas of short well maintained grass to provide colour in early spring. Plant against contrasting colours to really show off its rich purples. They are fantastic pollinators for bees, butterflies and birds. Plant the Large Purple Crocus Bulbs in well drained soil as they are likely to rot if too wet. From September onwards plant the bulbs out, but before the first frosts arrive.
